(Deans, by the way, count as "Academic Support", not "Administration"). $190K for a dean at a doctoral university high? Positions with comparable responsibility in the commercial world pay much more, by as much as a factor of 10. $190K isn't even especially high for some faculty slots. Take law. $190K is peanuts compared to what even garden-variety partners make in big urban law firms.
